Job Summary
Job Description
London Area, United Kingdom Hybrid Full-time
Reports to: Senior Sales & Partnerships Lead
We're hiring a driven Sales Development Representative to activate FairArt's existing base of 35,000+ collector sign-ups. You'll spend a significant part of your day on the phone - plus email and WhatsApp - working through a structured cadence to convert sign-ups into first-time buyers and turn first-time buyers into repeat purchasers.
This is a high-volume, metrics-driven role, ideal for someone early in their sales career who wants to prove themselves and has ambitions to grow into a bigger commercial role.
Why join us? Direct mentorship from the CEO and FairArt's Sales & Partnerships Lead, a clear path to a more senior advisory sales role, a flexible hybrid role based at Somerset House, London, and real ownership over your own pipeline from day one.
Job Requirements
About You:
Commercially ambitious, competitive and motivated by measurable results
1+ years of experience in a gallery, auction house, art fair, or other art-world sales role
Strong understanding of contemporary art and the collector market, enough to speak credibly and build trust in conversations
Comfortable negotiating price and terms directly with collectors, not just running a fixed script
Excellent phone manner and communication skills to build trust quickly
Organised, with strong follow-through and comfort using CRM systems
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
Highly Desirable:
Existing experience in outbound/inside sales, telesales, or account management
Existing network of collectors or contemporary art contacts
Job Responsibilities
Outbound Collector Outreach:
Make consistent outbound calls, plus email/WhatsApp follow-up, to FairArt's 35k+ sign-up base
Build genuine, lasting relationships with collectors - a relationship-building role, not a script-reading one
Run the follow-up cadences and lead-handling process defined by the Sales & Partnerships Lead
Convert dormant sign-ups into first-time buyers and past buyers into repeat purchasers, owning the full arc from first contact to closed sale
Generate Sales:
Carry an individual revenue target, turning collector conversations into completed purchases
Uncover each collector's interests, budget, motivations and timing
Negotiate offers, including higher-margin opportunities, into profitable sales
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Pipeline Execution:
Manage prospects from first contact to purchase and log every call and steps in the CRM
Hit monthly targets for purchases, calls and conversations
