Job Description
In the absence of the Scenic Construction Manager, the Deputy Scenic Construction Manager will liaise with directors and designers to achieve the best possible production values within the resources available and within the parameters set by the Head of Production.
Who are we looking for?
A skilled and motivated individual with strong carpentry and scenery construction experience, ideally gained within a theatre environment.
You will be able to read and interpret ground plans and construction drawings, have good IT skills, and preferably be proficient in CAD and/or Vectorworks.
You will have working knowledge of stage rigging, and a sound understanding of current Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments, ladder safety and COSHH, is essential. Welding experience is desirable but not essential.
The role requires flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays when required. The successful candidates should be reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, while contributing positively as part of a collaborative production team.
