Creative Opps is partnering with Sounds Like These to offer a paid Studio Assistant Placement for an aspiring music producer, sound designer or studio professional looking to gain practical experience within the music industry.

Based at Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch, you'll work alongside a professional music production and sound design company, supporting studio operations while gaining hands-on experience across music production, sound design, administration, events and content creation. Every week will be different, giving you a genuine insight into how a creative studio operates and how work is delivered for real clients.

Responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day running of the studio, helping organise studio spaces, providing administrative support, assisting with music production and sound design projects where appropriate, researching new creative tools and technologies, creating social media content, supporting Club WIP music production events, and helping develop sample packs using sounds recorded in the studio.

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for music and creativity who is eager to learn. You should have experience creating your own music and/or sound design, strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and enjoy collaborating as part of a small team. An interest in current music and creative culture is important, while experience using Logic Pro X or Pro Tools would be an advantage but is not essential.

Throughout the placement you'll receive mentorship from experienced professionals, contribute to real client work and develop practical skills that will help you build a career in music production, sound design or the wider creative industries.

Salary: £14.80 per hour (London Living Wage) + travel
Hours: 2 days per week (10.00am-6.00pm), ideally Thursdays and Fridays
Duration: Approximately 2 months
