Job Description
Helping to support the work of the West Midlands Police Museum, your job would involve researching and applying for various grants and funding opportunities. This could include funding with a heritage, education, accessibility or community focus.
Excellent networking and communication skills are essential, to build relationships with funders and maintain a good understanding of museum specific funding programmes.
Reporting to the Museum Lead, you will be responsible for managing a calendar of funding and sponsorship opportunities, working on completing and submitting bids and applications and building a network of stakeholders through West Midlands Police and partners.
Job Requirements
The role would be agile, meaning you would be provided with a laptop, and be expected to work 14 hours & 36 minutes a week. Whilst the work could mainly be done from home and via Teams meetings, there will be some requirements to come into the museum for face to face meetings.
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Security Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background and financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a hearing test.
Job Responsibilities
Identifying and engaging organisations and partners to support the effective delivery of WMP Museum priorities and initiatives
Researching available grants/funding opportunities available to the Museum.
Support governance and engagement processes to ensure and support the effective financial management of WMP Museum. Ensuring the Museum is complying with their funding and grant obligations, assessing performance, risks and outcomes and identifying opportunities for development and improvement.
Manage funding opportunities and ensure the smooth operation of our income generating activities, coordinating funding applications and reports and researching new funding opportunities, including supporting community engagement activity.
Lead on community initiatives, supporting volunteers, to identify funding and income opportunities.
