Job Description
Working alongside the CEO and Head of Programmes, Participants and Principles, you will lead the development of inspiring creative programmes, build meaningful partnerships and champion opportunities that empower children, young people and young adults (up to 35 years old) to thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence regional and national conversations around creativity, inclusion and social change while delivering high-quality programmes that make a genuine difference within underserved communities
The Service Manager should champion the rights for children, young people and young adults and drive opportunities for them to become socially engaged in arts, education, culture and civic change
Job Requirements
You will play a key role in designing and delivering ambitious arts and cultural programmes that place young people at the heart of everything we do.
You'll:
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to deliver Arts Council England's Let's Create Strategy and Investment Principles.
- Develop innovative creative programmes that inspire participation, build confidence and create lasting impact.
- Champion socially engaged arts practice that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
- Support the delivery of high-quality workshops, performances, events, festivals and creative experiences.
- Develop creative placements, internships and progression pathways for young people aged 16-25.
- Act as one of Powered by CAN's Ambition & Quality Champions, embedding excellence across all programmes.
- Relationships are central to this role.
- You'll develop and maintain partnerships with:
- Local Authorities
- Schools and Alternative Education Providers

- Support freelance artists, practitioners and creative facilitators to deliver exceptional experiences.
- Work alongside our Youth Management Board
