The Barbican is seeking to appoint an experienced Activity Plan Consultant to prepare an overarching Activity Plan as part of the development phase of the Barbican Sculpture Court Revived project.
The consultant will work with Barbican staff across various departments, including Buildings and Renewal; Arts and Participation; Audience Experience; Comms & Engagement; People, Inclusion and Culture; and Development, as well as with other consultants to be appointed for the development phase including Interpretation consultant, Community Engagement consultant, Evaluation consultant, Conservation Plan consultant and Archive Strategy consultant. The Activity Plan consultant will lead the development of the Activity Plan, ensuring that inputs from other consultants are reflected consistently within the Activity Plan.
The consultant will work with Barbican staff and consultants to develop an Activity Plan for the Barbican Sculpture Court Revived project. The Activity Plan should align with Heritage Fund guidance, Investment Principles and the approved purposes of the Barbican Sculpture Court Revived project, as well as the Barbican's purpose and values. The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday 4 September 2026. Short-listed applicants may be interviewed and asked to present their proposal to the interview panel. Interviews are planned for w/b 14 September.
The tender process will follow the City of London Corporation’s procurement practices and the Heritage Fund requirements.
The scoring of the tender will be as follows:
