The Barbican is seeking to appoint an experienced Archive Strategy Consultant to prepare an Archive Strategy and Engagement Plan as part of the development phase of the Barbican Sculpture Court Revived project. The Archive Strategy and Engagement Plan will form part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund Delivery Phase funding application, which is anticipated to be submitted in August 2027.
The consultant will work with Barbican staff across various departments, including Buildings and Renewal; Arts and Participation; Audience Experience; Comms & Engagement; People, Inclusion and Culture; Communications; and Development, as well as with other consultants to be appointed for the development phase, including Activity Plan consultant, Evaluation consultant, Interpretation Plan consultant, and Community Engagement Consultant.
The consultant will work with Barbican staff and consultants to develop an Archive Strategy and Engagement Plan for the Barbican Centre with a special focus on activity for the Barbican Sculpture Court Revived project.
The Archive Strategy and Engagement Plan should align with Heritage Fund guidance, Investment Principles and the approved purposes of the Barbican Sculpture Court Revived project, as well as the Barbican's purpose and values.
