We are looking for a Theatre technician to work as part of a small resident technical team based at Theatre Royal Winchester providing excellent technical support for all the organisation’s events, both in the theatre and beyond.

Theatre Royal Winchester (Part of Play to the Crowd) is looking for a Theatre Technician

Contract: Full-time, Fixed term contract - 6 months contract with option to extend subject to circumstances
Salary: £23,795 - £26,227 (with opportunities for overtime)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Location: Theatre Royal Winchester, Winchester, Hampshire

The role: The Theatre Technician will work as part of a small resident technical team based at Theatre Royal Winchester providing excellent technical support for all the organisation's events, both in the theatre and beyond.

The Theatre Technician will provide hands-on support to visiting companies working on Get-Ins, Get-Outs and performances to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

About you: You will be passionate about your work and will always strive for the highest standards. Enthusiasm and dedication are a must.

You will have knowledge of programming generic and intelligent lighting on an ETC lighting desk; you will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of sound and AV setups; and have a knowledge of theatre practices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
