Job Description
Registrar & Gallery Operations
-Maintain accurate artwork inventory and database records using Artlogic.
-Register artworks, editions, provenance, condition reports, certificates and consignments.
-Coordinate artwork movements, including packing, shipping, framing, storage, installation
-Manage artwork logistics, insurance, customs documentation and import/export procedures
-Track consignments, loans, and artwork locations.
- Make consignment agreements
-Assist with VAT, customs, and compliance documentation
Sales & Client Relations
-Welcome visitors and provide an exceptional gallery experience
-Respond to sales enquiries and advise clients on acquisitions
-Manage sales from initial enquiry through to completion
-Assist with auction and market research
-Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures
Exhibitions & Art Fairs
-Assist in planning and delivering exhibitions, with a particular focus on shipping, production, and post-sale logistics
-Coordinate artwork logistics, framing, transport, and installation
-Prepare price lists, exhibition documentation, online viewing rooms, and sales materials using Artlogic
Required Experience
-Minimum of three years' experience in a commercial gallery, museum, auction house or arts institution
-Strong knowledge of photography, fine art and international art market
-Proven sales experience within the art market
-Experience managing artwork registration, inventories and collections databases
- Knowledge of artwork handling, condition reporting, shipping and registrar procedures
-Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
-Strong communication and client relationship skills
-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines
Desirable
-Knowledge of another language
- Artlogic, Artnet, Artsy, Arcarta, Mailchimp, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of international fine art shipping
-Understanding of photography editions, provenance, and collection management
Job Requirements
