Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, dynamic team working closely with Shezad Dawood, and the Studio Director and the Head of Operations to support various aspects of curatorial and development work for the studio.

Job Description

For this paid internship the candidate will be expected to support the studio team with research, archiving, writing applications, editing and proofreading across registers; updating websites, booking international travel.

This is a fixed-term 3 months contract, with a potential opportunity to be extended into a permanent part-time position. The studio is based in Hackney Wick, London.

Part-time (3 days per week), 10am-6pm, fixed-term 3 months contract | Salary range £25-27,000 pro rata. Ideal start beginning of September 2026.

Job Requirements

Essential
- MA qualification - preferably in curating, history of art or arts business
- Or BA degree in curating, history of art and arts business with 1-year minimum professional experience in the field of visual arts, or general workplace
- Demonstrable work experience in exhibition making, or arts events management
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines, as well as flexibility to changing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively supporting colleagues as required
- Ability to manage budgets
- Demonstrable experience of writing, editing
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a sociable, can-do attitude
- Excellent IT skills, including: proficiency in Microsoft, Excel, Apple and Google Suites, experience using and updating databases, experience of updating websites
- Dynamic, fast learner, excellent attention to detail

Desirable
- Demonstrable experience of fundraising and writing funding bids
- Experience of social media
