Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, organised and proactive Head of Wardrobe to join the team for Club NVRLND, a bold new immersive theatrical experience presented at The Vaults, Waterloo.

Fresh from a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival, Club NVRLND lands at The Vaults for a strictly limited season. This irreverent, high-energy immersive nightclub musical reimagines the story of Peter Pan through live performance and iconic 2000s anthems, inviting audiences to become part of the action in a unique theatrical experience where the party goes straight on till morning.

This is a solo department role, requiring a confident and self-motivated individual capable of managing all aspects of wardrobe independently. Working closely with the Costume Designer, Company Stage Manager, cast and production team, the successful candidate will oversee the preparation, maintenance and running of all costumes throughout rehearsals and performances.

Salary: £800 per week
Start Date: 26th October 2026

Rehearsals commence: Monday 12 October 2026
Technical rehearsals commence: Monday 9 November 2026
First Preview: Saturday 14 November 2026
Opening Night: Thursday 26 November 2026
End of initial booking period: Saturday 27 March 2027
End of contract: Sunday 13 June 2027

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous professional experience as a Head of Wardrobe or Senior Wardrobe Assistant on a professional theatre production.
Experience working on musicals, immersive productions or productions with high costume usage is desirable.
Excellent sewing, repair and costume maintenance skills.
The ability to manage a wardrobe department independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively within a busy production environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Manage all wardrobe operations for the production as a sole department.
Prepare, organise and maintain all costumes, footwear and accessories throughout rehearsals and performances.
Set up and maintain dressing rooms, quick-change areas and costume storage.
Carry out costume fittings in collaboration with the Costume Designer where required.
Undertake laundering, ironing, steaming, repairs and alterations to maintain costumes to performance standard.
Produce and maintain wardrobe plots, dressing lists and maintenance records.
Preset costumes and oversee all costume changes during performances.
Monitor costume condition and liaise with Production Management regarding replacement or repair requirements.
Maintain a safe, organised and efficient wardrobe department.
Support costume fit-up, technical rehearsals and get-out.
