Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, organised and collaborative Sound No. 2 to join the team for Club NVRLND, a bold new immersive theatrical experience presented at The Vaults, Waterloo.
Fresh from a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival, Club Nvrlnd lands at The Vaults for a strictly limited season. This irreverent, high-energy immersive nightclub musical reimagines the story of Peter Pan through live performance and iconic 2000s anthems, inviting audiences to become part of the action in a unique theatrical experience where the party goes straight on till morning.
Working within a fast-paced immersive environment, the Sound No. 2 will support the Sound No. 1 in delivering the highest standard of sound throughout rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sound Designer, Production Manager, Company Stage Manager, cast and creative team to ensure the production is delivered safely and consistently throughout the run.

Salary: £700 per week
Start Date: 2nd November 2026

Rehearsals commence: Monday 12 October 2026
Technical rehearsals commence: Monday 9 November 2026
First Preview: Saturday 14 November 2026
Opening Night: Thursday 26 November 2026
End of initial booking period: Saturday 27 March 2027
End of contract: Sunday 13 June 2027
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous professional experience as a Sound No. 2, Sound Technician or similar role on a professional theatre production.
Experience working on musicals and/or immersive productions is desirable.
Experience with radio microphone systems and digital sound equipment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively within a busy production environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Job Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, installation and maintenance of the production sound system.
Fit, test, maintain and troubleshoot radio microphones and associated equipment.
Carry out daily checks of sound equipment, communications systems and backstage audio infrastructure.
The Production is mixed with Performers singing to pre-recorded tracks.
Assist with sound checks and technical rehearsals.
Support the Sound No. 1 in the operation of performances and cover the role as required.
Maintain radio microphone plots, battery management and sound documentation.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and safely.
Liaise with Stage Management and other technical departments to ensure the smooth running of rehearsals and performances.
Ensure all sound equipment is maintained in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Technical support required on some evening's following the end of the show. Subject to additional payments.
