Job Summary
Job Description
In April 2026, the Garage Trust took custodianship of The Old Library in Kings Lynn. Over the next decade, the ambition is to turn this historic site into a thriving creative and cultural venue for the community called 'The Workshop'.
In the first 18 months there is a period of essential repairs and renewals to halt the deterioration of the building and the setting up of the space to make it suitable for 'meanwhile' use, alongside a programme of community consultation and co-design.
The Trust is seeking an Evaluation & Learning Consultant to work in collaboration with the Trust's Executive Team during the first steps in the journey of transformation to help document the learning during this important phase to inform future decision-making.
Job Requirements
Interest and passion for Heritage
Understanding of the value of community voices in development of design, project and programmes
Degree (or equivalent experience) in evaluation, learning, social research, public health, psychology, sociology, community development, arts management or a related field
Proven experience designing and delivering consultation programmes or project evaluations
Proven experience in documenting learning and reporting on project learning
Experience using mixed methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups and observations.
Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills.
Experience writing accessible reports for a range of audiences.
Experience working with community organisations, charities or public sector partners.
Excellent communication, facilitation and project management skills.
