Job Summary
Job Description
The club will run once a month, on the 2nd Saturday of each month, from 10 till 11:15 providing a welcoming, creative and supportive space for children with SEND to explore their creativity through art.
This Art club will be offered to children aged 7 - 12. The group will be limited to 6 children per session, allowing facilitators to provide a personalised experience and respond to the individual needs of each child, with the support of 2 volunteers.
Job Requirements
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced SEND practitioners, artists or art facilitators who have a passion for inclusive, person-centred creative practice.
Each Artist will be paid £90 per session which includes delivery and planning time per month.
There will be £22 available for materials each month alongside the material stores at Rural Arts.

Due to this being a new programme of activity, we will be constantly monitoring and evaluating the SEND Art Club and building on any learnings post June.
Job Responsibilities
Working alongside 2 dedicated volunteers, the Art Facilitators will:
Plan and deliver creative, engaging and accessible art sessions.
Plan personalised activities that respond to the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child.
Adapt art activities, materials and approaches to support different communication, sensory, physical and learning needs.
Create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every child can participate and express themselves.
Work collaboratively with the second Art Facilitator and volunteers to ensure each child receives appropriate support.
Encourage children to develop confidence, creativity and self-expression through art.
Build positive relationships with the children and help create a relaxed, enjoyable and welcoming club.
Be part of some initial Makaton training and to incorporate this learning into the sessions
The small group size + staff allows the club to offer a high level of individual attention and support.
