Pitzhanger is looking for a passionate arts learning professional to join our team as we grow ahead of an exciting new chapter for our organisation.

Job Description

This new role will support the Learning & Engagement Department and play a central part in the development, planning and delivery of the first phase of Pitzhanger's ambitious new 'Every Child in Ealing' initiative. This initiative will bring a generation of children to Pitzhanger, generating a transformative impact on the lives of thousands of young people in our local community.

Building upon our existing partnerships, we are committed to fostering new relationships within formal and informal learning environments, and creating sustainable collaborations, measuring and reporting against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as impact in line with our Learning & Engagement Strategy and funding requirements. The role will be integral to the delivery of our Schools programme and will also support the wider Learning programmes including Families and Young People.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, and alongside and experienced Learning and Engagement Managers, this role will be at the heart of an exciting new chapter for Pitzhanger, and help bring exceptional arts experiences to as many people as possible.

Job Requirements

Requirements include:

- Proven experience of the delivery of creative programmes and learning activities in a school, museum or gallery.
- Experience and/or knowledge of arts, culture, architecture or design education.
- Commitment to ensuring that our programmes and materials are inclusive and reflective of the diversity of our borough and local communities.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion as well as equality of opportunity and access in cultural learning.
- High regard for the importance and value of arts education in schools, cultural organisations, and community settings.
- General knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures when working with children and young people.
- Able to coordinate freelancers and resources, and work within budget.
- Effective and enthusiastic communication and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

- Facilitate delivery of the school's programme including the leading of Manor & Gallery tours and support of workshops
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and support local schools (including current and previous partners), developing programmes which celebrate and enhance children's and young people's creative and cultural lives.
- Demonstrate awareness of how cultural learning and creativity compliments the National Curriculum.
- Complete administrative duties such as the writing of risk assessments, facilitator information and workshop plans.
- Function as a contact for schools, operating and overseeing booking systems and processes.
- Support programme research, audience feedback, and evaluation to inform future activities.
- Order and prepare workshop materials, manage stock control
