The Role
As a Trustee, you will act as an ambassador, advocate, and champion for Kali Theatre. You will work alongside fellow trustees to ensure the charity's effective governance and long-term sustainability, while playing a proactive role in supporting our ambitious growth.

Key responsibilities include:
Ambassadorial and Fundraising: Advocate for the company within your networks and support our fundraising ambitions including the launch of our Friends of Kali scheme.
Governance and Strategy Uphold the principles of good governance, set and review policies, and monitor the financial health and resilience of the organisation.
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Help uphold our unwavering commitment to championing diversity and inclusion.

Who We're Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about putting artists at the heart of everything we do and excited by the prospect of helping to shape a more experimental, multidisciplinary future for theatre.
We welcome candidates whose professional and personal experiences will bring new perspectives and capacity to our Board.
We are particularly looking for trustees with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
New Writing Theatre Sector: Experience of producing work in the new writing theatre sector - especially culturally diverse work
Grants & Trusts: An understanding of or experience of making applications to grant-making trusts
Individual Giving & Philanthropy: Experience in cultivating major donors
Charity Compliance and best practice

Time Commitment
Trustees are expected to attend up to six Board meetings a year, attend key KTC events and serve on board subgroups focusing on specific aspects of board responsibilities.
Initial term of three years.
The role is voluntary and unpaid.
