We want our trustees to feel invested in helping to shape the future of Marlborough Productions. You don't need previous trustee experience-we'll provide an induction and ongoing support.
We're particularly interested in hearing from people with knowledge, skills or experience in the following areas:

Finance and accounting
Charity governance or organisational strategy
Legal, HR or organisational development
Fundraising, philanthropy or income generation
Public policy, advocacy or campaigning
Arts, culture or the creative industries
Producing, programming or artist development
Community engagement and partnership building

The Board provides governance, oversight and strategic direction, ensuring that Marlborough Productions fulfils its charitable aims, manages risk responsibly and remains sustainable.

The Board works alongside Marlborough Productions' Executive Leadership Team, comprising the Executive Director and the Co-Creative Directors (Joint CEOs). The Board's role is to govern the organisation, set its strategic direction, provide oversight and assurance, and hold the Executive Leadership Team to account for the delivery of agreed objectives.

The Executive Leadership Team is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, artistic direction and operational management of the organisation.

The Chair's primary role is to enable the Board to govern effectively rather than to manage the organisation. In fulfilling this role, the Chair works collaboratively with trustees and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure the organisation is well governed, strategically focused and able to deliver its charitable purposes
