Job Summary

A 6-month part-time (14 hours a week) home-worked creative internship, producing inclusive and accessible online events, for someone with lived experience of disability and East London, paying the London Living Wage (currently £14.80 ph) and funded by Arts Council England.

Job Description

You will work with the Artistic Director and Assistant Artistic Director to:

Generate and develop ideas for the Together! 2012 CIC events programme.
Research potential artists for the programme.
Book artists, including issuing contracts, and liaising over Access Riders if appropriate.
Book and manage British Sign Language interpreters (and other support workers as needed).
Market the events programme, working with our Social Media and Media contractors.
Generate audience surveys and support audience members to complete these.
Organise practice sessions as required to meet artists' needs.
Manage events, including supporting audience participation.
Gather information and evaluate the events afterwards.
Produce related podcasts, including researching potential guests and following up as required.

This is a training position, with line management by the Assistant Artistic Director and weekly supervision sessions with the Chair and Artistic Director. If you complete the internship successfully, through regular attendance and active engagement, you will be ready to work in the online events industry, specialising in inclusive events and activities.

This is a home-worked job, with all events and activities delivered online to people participating from home. Team members are provided with a smartphone and tablet or laptop and other necessary items. Together! 2012 CIC will fund either a data package via the smartphone, or make a contribution to broadband costs. Terms and conditions are the same as for the permanent Team members.

We do not want anyone to be excluded from our employment because of their access requirements. We will do our best to provide any support you require to apply for this job, and if successful we will provide support for you to obtain JobCentre Plus 'Access to Work' funding for specialist equipment and personal assistance if needed.
