Bigfoot Arts Education are looking for charismatic, commanding, and captivating performers to bring their primary schools tour of 'The Jingle Generator Jam' to life!

Job Description

Following the success of previous sell-out Christmas tours; Bigfoot once again is presenting a fun, humorous and entertaining Christmas show, written especially for primary schools! We are looking for energetic, professional actors who would like to join our team. You must be positive, hardworking and a team-player with a can-do attitude! We are looking for performers with high-energy and an ability to improvise. Singing, dancing and clowning ability is also desirable.

We anticipate 2 performances per day over the course of the tour.

Please also state in your application if you can drive and have access to a vehicle.

Job Requirements

The characters are not gender specific so can be played by either sex, of any age. Performances are physical and high energy so we are looking for actors with lots of enthusiasm, who are physically fit. Experience working in schools is also desirable.

We will be recruiting two duos, one based in the North East, and the other in Yorkshire. Each cast will travel around their borough. Therefore all applicants must live within a 1 hour drive of Newcastle or Leeds, have a driving license and access to a vehicle.

Job Responsibilities

Candidates must live in the North East, or Yorkshire, be able to drive, have access to a car and be prepared to travel across the whole region. Cast members are responsible for get in and out and generally deliver 2 shows a day Monday to Friday (9.30am and 1.30pm) Pay is £80 per 1 hour show (£230 per day if performing 3) Travel expenses are also provided. Rehearsals will take place mid-late November and the tour will run from Monday 30 November in the North East and Monday 7 December in Yorkshire. Both will end on Friday 18 December.

This must be received by Tuesday 1 September at 10am. Live auditions will then take place on Monday 7 September in South Tyneside for North East candidates and Tuesday 15 September in Leeds for Yorkshire candidates.
