Job Description
The Gallery Assistant plays a key role in delivering an exceptional visitor experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the gallery. Working across both the exhibition spaces and Front of House, the role combines gallery invigilation, visitor engagement, reception support, and operational assistance to maintain the highest standards of presentation, safety, and service.
As a visible presence throughout the gallery, the Gallery Assistant is responsible for monitoring exhibition spaces, safeguarding artworks, and creating a welcoming, professional environment for all visitors. The role also supports the Front of House team during busy periods, assists with visitor enquiries, and provides operational support across the gallery as required. Gallery Assistants help ensure exhibitions are experienced as intended, visitors receive a consistently high standard of service, and the gallery environment reflects White Cube's commitment to excellence.
The role ensures that:
Visitors receive a welcoming, engaging, and informative experience throughout their time in the gallery.
Gallery spaces are presented to the highest standard, creating a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
Artworks, exhibitions, and public spaces are cared for through attentive gallery stewardship.
Front of House and gallery operations are supported to ensure the smooth running of daily activities and events.
White Cube's standards of professionalism, hospitality, and visitor experience are consistently upheld.
