Job Title: Membership Officer
Salary: £28,000 FTE per annum, pro rata (£22,400 per annum at 0.8 FTE)
Hours: 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Location: Home based with travel throughout the UK, including occasional evening and weekend working.

Job Purpose
The Membership Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of membership, supporting and processing new applications, annual renewals, member enquiries, liaison with the Membership Department at ICOM in Paris, and maintaining accurate membership records across ICOM UK's systems.
Working closely with the Membership & Administration Manager (freelance), the Membership Officer plays a key role in ensuring members receive a professional, responsive service while contributing to membership growth, retention and engagement through effective communications, administration, reporting, data analysis and continuous improvement of our membership processes.
Key Responsibilities include:
Membership Administration
Manage the day-to-day administration of ICOM UK's memberships, including processing new membership applications, annual renewals and transfers in accordance with established ICOM membership criteria and procedures.
Regularly liaise with and provide data to ICOM's Membership Department in Paris regarding applications and membership records.
Maintain accurate membership records within ICOM UK's own membership system.
Prepare and distribute membership cards, stickers and related membership materials by post and courier.
Respond to member enquiries in a professional, timely and customer-focused manner by email and through other communication channels.
Provide advice and guidance on membership categories, eligibility and benefits, supporting members throughout their membership journey and providing a high standard of customer service.
Job Responsibilities
Attend team meetings, Membership Committee meetings and Trustee meetings as required.
Work in accordance with ICOM UK's values and policies.
Promote equity, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
Comply with Health and Safety legislation and organisational policies.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative working culture.
Undertake continuing professional development.
Carry out other duties commensurate with the level of the post as reasonably required.
ICOM UK is a fully remote organisation. Staff are required to have access to basic computer equipment including a PC or laptop and good wi-fi to access the organisation's Microsoft SharePoint site and associated Microsoft apps, including Teams. A home-working allowance will be paid to employed staff and any expenses incurred whilst performing the requirements of the role will be reimbursed.
