Job Summary
Job Description
Theative Performing Arts is an established, inclusive children's dance and performing arts school based in Streatham, South West London.
We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly dependable Ballet, Tap & Modern teacher to join our Saturday team.
We believe excellent technical training and joyful, creative classes should go hand in hand. We're looking for much more than someone who can simply deliver a syllabus: we want a teacher who genuinely enjoys working with children, takes pride in their progress and wants to become an invested member of our wider school community.
Saturdays run from 8.15am-1.30pm and currently include:
Toddler Story Time Ballet
Minis 1 Core Dance Combo, ages 4-6
Minis 2 Core Dance Combo, ages 6-8
Juniors 1 Core Dance Combo
Juniors 2 Core Dance Combo
Core Dance Combo incorporates ballet, modern/jazz and tap, including RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern Theatre & Tap syllabus work.
Several students are currently preparing for ISTD exams from Pre-Primary to Grade 2, so confident syllabus and exam preparation experience is particularly valuable.
Teaching rate: £25-£30ph depending on experience and qualifications. Required setup, pack-up and admin duties are paid separately.
This is initially a Saturday role, with potential for additional weekday teaching, holiday camps, exam coaching and performance work as the school grows.
We're ideally looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of the Theative team.
