Job Summary
Job Description
Theative Performing Arts is an established, inclusive children's dance and performing arts school based in Streatham, South West London.
We're looking for a warm, dynamic and highly engaging Musical Theatre & Preschool Dance Teacher to join our Saturday team.
We believe excellent training and joyful, creative classes should go hand in hand. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children and wants to connect with, inspire and invest in their students.
Saturdays run approximately 9am-1.30pm and currently include:
Minis 2 Singing & Drama, ages 6-8
Minis 1 Singing & Drama, ages 4-6
Tinies Core Dance Combo, ages 3-4
Juniors Singing & Drama, ages 8-12
Our 45-minute preschool dance class incorporates approximately 25 minutes of creative Story Time Ballet followed by preschool tap or modern/jazz on alternating weeks.
You do not need to be a qualified ballet, tap and modern teacher. We are looking for someone with genuine preschool teaching experience who understands how young children learn and can make early dance training engaging, developmentally appropriate and fun.
Teaching rate: £25-£30ph depending on experience and qualifications. Required setup, pack-up and admin duties are paid separately.
There is potential for additional weekday classes, holiday camps and performance work as our Musical Theatre programme grows.
For the right person, we'd love this to develop into a long-term role within Theative.
