Job Description
Twist Museum is looking for an ambitious and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the museum.
This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced, innovative visitor attraction in the heart of Central London. The Assistant General Manager will provide hands-on leadership across front-of-house operations, team management, retail, compliance, schools and events, helping to maintain high standards of safety, service and visitor engagement.
Working closely with the General Manager, wider operations team and Head Office, you will help develop the team, manage daily operations, resolve operational issues, support commercial performance and deputise for the General Manager when required.
We are looking for an experienced manager who is organised, commercially aware and confident making decisions in a busy environment. You will be a visible, supportive and accountable leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems and continuously improving the visitor experience.

Job Requirements
Management experience in a visitor attraction, retail, hospitality, cultural or similar public-facing venue.
Experience leading teams and managing rotas, attendance, recruitment and onboarding.
Strong communication, leadership, organisation and time-management skills.
Calm, practical decision-making in a busy environment.
Commercial awareness and confidence using scheduling, HR, ticketing, EPOS and reporting systems.
Working knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding and operational compliance.
A hands-on, supportive and accountable leadership style.
Passion for Twist's mission and delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
Job Responsibilities
Support and deputise for the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the museum.
Act as Duty Manager, managing rotas, daily briefings, VEA allocations and absence cover.
Lead and develop the management and visitor experience teams.
Maintain high standards of safety, service, safeguarding and visitor engagement.
Resolve operational issues and oversee cleanliness, security and maintenance communication.
Support admissions, schools, groups, retail and private-hire revenue.
Manage retail goals, merchandising, procurement, stock takes and EPOS inventory.
Manage office administration and produce operational reports.
Support schools, group visits, education bookings and private-hire events.
Assist with risk assessments, policies, SOPs, incidents and health and safety procedures.
