Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Events Manager to join our Events team. This is an exciting opportunity for an events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering exceptional experiences across both private and internally cultivated events.

As Events Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events, managing clients and stakeholders from initial contracting through to event delivery and post-event evaluation.

You will work closely with the Head of Events and colleagues across Development, as well as teams including Facilities and Visitor Experience, to deliver events to Serpentine's high standards while ensuring that all activity is safe, compliant and aligned with Royal Parks requirements.

Your portfolio will include corporate venue hires across the Magazine, Pavilion and Serpentine Galleries, as well as internally cultivated events such as exhibition openings, donor events and Bloomberg events.

You will be a confident and collaborative events professional, able to balance creativity and commercial awareness with meticulous organisation and operational delivery.

Job Requirements

Proven ability to deliver internal events and commercial venue hires of varying scale and complexity, balancing exceptional guest experience, stakeholder expectations and operational requirements.

Proven project management and organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities, adapt to changing demands and deliver high-quality outcomes to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Creative and solutions-focused, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and develop practical approaches to challenges and opportunities.

Reliable and flexible in approach, with the ability to work outside office hours at events when required.

A professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information.

A genuine enjoyment of meeting people, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Able to remain calm and effective under pressure, managing competing demands and delivering high-quality outcomes to tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the Head of Events and wider Development team to plan and deliver internally cultivated events, particularly Exhibition Openings (Press Views, Private Views, Council Previews), the Donor Programme and Bloomberg events.

Plan and deliver Corporate Hires of the Magazine, Pavilion and Serpentine Galleries, providing excellent customer service that upholds Serpentine's standards and reputation as one of the world's more sought-after events spaces.

Work with Facilities, Visitor Experience and other departments to ensure safe, compliant events, including producing risk assessments and meeting Royal Parks regulations.

Manage security, suppliers, deliveries and venue logistics during load-in, throughout live events and load-out.

Work with Development to build partner relationships and secure sponsors for internal events, as well as contributing ideas and responding to changing priorities.

Work with the Event Sales Manager to provide expert advice and event information for clients
