Founding Board Directors (Volunteer) | Lancashire

Are you passionate about the transformative power of the arts, literature, and music? Do you want to help shape a ground-breaking new cultural and wellbeing asset for Lancashire? We are launching a new Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to creating an inclusive, multi-disciplinary art space and alcohol-free Dry Bar venue in Preston, Lancashire. Our mission blends visual arts, creative writing, music, and performance to champion mental health and social prescribing. Alongside our permanent community hub, our mobile teams will deliver trauma-informed workshops in schools, prisons, and NHS mental health settings across the region. As we prepare for our official launch and major capital funding bids, we are looking for visionary, independent Non-Executive Directors to join our founding board.

We are explicitly looking for professionals with skills in:

- Finance & Accounting (Grant management, cash flow)
- Commercial Property / Law (Lease negotiations, local authority assets)
- Healthcare & Social Prescribing (NHS commissioning, mental health sector)
- Arts & Venue Management (Cultural sector leadership, funding bids)

Commitment: 4-6 hours per month (quarterly board meetings + ad-hoc advisory). Location: Preston / Hybrid.
