Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, organised and social-first Marketing Executive to help us produce and share engaging content across our digital channels. This is a hands-on role for someone at the beginning of their marketing career who understands how content works across multiple platforms.

Job Description

We are looking for a creative, organised and social-first Marketing Executive to help us produce and share engaging content across our digital channels.
This is a hands-on role for someone at the beginning of their marketing career who understands how content works across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other social platforms. You will be confident in capturing content at events and activities, turning it into well-edited short-form video, photography and social posts, and adapting stories for our website, emails and wider campaigns.
You will support the day-to-day delivery of all of our marketing activity across social media, content, email, CRM and the website. You do not need to be a professional photographer, filmmaker or senior marketing strategist. We are looking for someone with a strong eye, good instincts, great enthusiasm and the practical skills to capture high-quality content using a smartphone and/or accessible camera equipment.
The right person will be curious, reliable and comfortable moving between creative and practical tasks. One day you might be filming and posting from an event; the next, editing a Reel, building an email in HubSpot, updating a page in WordPress or reviewing which content is performing best.

In this role, success means:
Our social channels are active, relevant and recognisably ours.
Events and activities are captured consistently and turned into timely, engaging content.
Content is adapted effectively across social media, email and the website.
Website and CRM information is accurate and well maintained.
Marketing activity is delivered reliably and on time.
Our content library becomes more organised, useful and reusable.
Reporting helps the team understand what is working and improve future activity.
More people take meaningful action after encountering our content.

Job Requirements

You may be a recent graduate, apprentice, or have gained experience through employment, freelance work, volunteering or personal projects.

We're looking for someone with around 1-3 years' relevant experience, although potential and the quality of your work are equally important. You'll have a strong understanding of social media, particularly Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, experience creating short-form video, a good visual eye and strong written English. You'll be organised, detail-focused and confident capturing content in busy, live environments.

Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe, WordPress or HubSpot is desirable, as is experience in culture, events, community or purpose-led organisations. An understanding of accessibility, consent and responsible content creation is important.

Job Responsibilities

- Plan, create and publish engaging content across social media, adapting it for different platforms and audiences.
- Capture and edit short-form video, photography, interviews, behind-the-scenes and event content.
- Write clear, engaging copy and support the content calendar and campaigns.
- Support promotion across social media, email, website and digital/print materials.
- Update website content and support newsletters, forms and CRM activity using WordPress, HubSpot or similar platforms.
- Monitor audience engagement, comments and messages, escalating sensitive issues where needed.
- Track basic social, email and website performance and use insights to improve future content.
- Organise and store content appropriately, ensuring consent, accessibility, copyright, safeguarding and data protection requirements are met.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, freelancers, partners and contributors to support effective marketing activity.
