Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, practical and ambitious Marketing Manager to lead marketing, communications and audience development at Jacksons Lane.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager leads Jacksons Lane's marketing, communications and audience development across our artistic, engagement and commercial work. It is a practical role, with responsibility for directly delivering campaigns, audiences and income, as well as the way Jacksons Lane looks, sounds and presents itself publicly; you'll work with the Creative Director to find and develop that distinctive voice.
We want someone who gets the fundamentals right but is also interested in trying new things. That might be a different way of introducing circus to a new audience, building the profile of our studios as rehearsal and event spaces or finding better ways to communicate with families and communities across Haringey.
The Marketing Manager will:
Lead Jacksons Lane's marketing, communications and audience development.
Grow audiences and ticket income, particularly for contemporary circus and Jacksons Juniors.
Grow awareness and income from hires, events, the caf and other commercial activity.
Develop a clear and recognisable Jacksons Lane voice across our communications.
Take direct responsibility for creating, managing and delivering campaigns across digital and print.
Strengthen our relationships with audiences and communities across Haringey.
Use audience data, research and evaluation to improve our reach and impact.
Work closely with artists and companies and build Jacksons Lane's wider profile.
Manage the Marketing Assistant and contribute actively to the wider organisation.

Job Requirements

Experience of planning and delivering successful marketing or audience campaigns, ideally in arts, culture, entertainment, events or another public-facing environment.
Strong written communication and content skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
Good understanding of digital marketing, including websites, email and social media.
An understanding of audience development and the commercial role marketing plays in growing ticket sales and other income.
Confidence using data and insight to understand audiences, evaluate campaigns and make decisions.
The ability to manage competing priorities, budgets and deadlines and see campaigns through from idea to delivery.
Practical experience of digital marketing, including analytics, paid social and search and content creation, ideally using platforms such as GA4, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads and Adobe Creative Suite.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and deliver campaigns for our artistic programme, with clear audience, ticket sales and income targets.
Develop audiences for our contemporary circus, Jacksons Juniors and creative engagement programmes, including to people who may not already know Jacksons Lane or the work we present.
Work closely with visiting artists and companies, agreeing campaigns and helping them find audiences for their work.
Develop offers, partnerships, group sales and cross-promotions which help us reach new people or encourage audiences to return.
Lead communications across our website, email, social media, print and other relevant platforms.
Create and commission strong copy, images, video and other content, working with designers, photographers and other freelancers when needed.
Keep the website and other channels accurate, useful and recognisably Jacksons Lane, among other responsibilities.
