Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Manager is the senior commercial driver for all ticket revenue at the Millennium Forum. This role leads the organisation's sales strategy, maximises ticket and event income, and ensures all marketing and digital activity directly supports the ambitions of the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.

Working across marketing, box office, programming, and promoter partners, the marketing manager provides strategic direction, commercial insight, and data-led decision-making. Reporting directly to the Development and Creative Engagement Manager, the role leads the marketing function, guiding the Digital Communications Officer, Senior Marketing Officer, and wider team to deliver high-performing, innovative, and commercially effective campaigns.

Job Requirements

Essential Criteria/Experience

Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications or a related field with 2+ years' relevant marketing experience; or a Level 3 qualification (e.g. HNC) with 3+ years' relevant experience.

Proven experience developing and delivering marketing strategies and integrated campaigns; leading and managing staff; managing online and offline advertising; working to sales, revenue or commercial targets; managing budgets and demonstrating ROI; and using data and analytics to inform decisions.

Desirable Criteria

Experience within arts, entertainment, hospitality or events; management or leadership qualification; knowledge of ticketing systems and box office data such as Spektrix or ENTA; content creation across video, photography and copywriting; PR/media relations; GDPR and data protection knowledge; and a full driving licence.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the organisation's sales and digital strategy to maximise revenue, audience engagement and ROI. Set KPIs, sales forecasts and performance benchmarks, and manage marketing budgets in line with financial targets. Lead the planning, buying and optimisation of advertising across Meta, Google and other online and offline channels, ensuring campaigns meet sales objectives.

Develop CRM strategies supporting segmentation, retention, upselling and audience growth. Work with Programming and Box Office to forecast demand and adjust activity accordingly. Line-manage the Digital Communications Officer and Senior Marketing Officer, providing direction and development.

Produce regular performance reports and evidence-based recommendations. Champion digital innovation, emerging technologies and responsible AI use. Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements, manage supplier and promoter relationships, monitor accounts and ensure best value across all marketing activity.
