Job Summary

The Design Museum is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Membership and Fundraising Executive to support and grow our thriving membership community of over 9,000 supporters.

Job Description

Working closely with the Senior Membership and Fundraising Manager, the Membership and Fundraising Executive will help deliver an outstanding membership programme, providing excellent service to current and prospective members while supporting membership growth, retention and engagement.

You will play a key role in member communications, events, CRM administration and reporting, ensuring members receive a high-quality experience at every stage of their journey.

Key areas of focus include:
- Delivering excellent customer service and acting as a first point of contact for member enquiries.
- Managing membership administration, maintaining accurate CRM records and processing payments.
- Creating engaging member communications, including newsletters, website content and email campaigns.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of exclusive member events and engagement activities.
- Producing reports and insights to support membership growth, retention and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone who brings:

- Experience delivering excellent customer service and resolving complex queries effectively.
- Experience creating communications or marketing content such as website copy, newsletters or email campaigns.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, working confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Job Responsibilities

Terms and Conditions

Salary: up to £30,390 per annum

Holidays: 25 days + Christmas Eve (museum closed)

Hours: 35 hours per week / Monday to Friday

Location: the Design Museum Kensington is the place of work - with a hybrid arrangement of 60% of an employee's role to be performed at the museum and 40% remote.

Closing date: Sunday 11 October, midnight

Interviews: Wednesday 21 October + Friday 23 October
