Diverse Performing Arts Center, one of Dubai's leading performing arts organisations, is seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Musical Theatre to join our senior team from January 2027.
The successful candidate will lead our thriving Musical Theatre department, overseeing artistic and educational development while teaching students from beginner to pre-professional level. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an accomplished Musical Director, confident pianist and experienced singing teacher.
Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring Musical Theatre faculty, teaching Musical Theatre and singing, accompanying classes and rehearsals, developing curriculum and repertoire, managing auditions and rehearsals and musically directing productions and showcases. The successful candidate will also teach on our BTEC International Level 3 Performing Arts programme and work collaboratively with our Drama, Dance and Singing faculty.
Candidates should have a minimum of two years' relevant teaching experience, strong piano and vocal coaching skills, experience as a Musical Director and excellent knowledge of Musical Theatre repertoire and performance practice. Previous departmental leadership, vocational training, BTEC teaching and professional industry experience are desirable.
We are looking for a creative, charismatic and highly organised practitioner who can inspire young performers, support teaching staff and bring fresh ideas and artistic ambition to the department.

Job Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Musical Theatre practitioner with a minimum of two years' relevant teaching experience. Candidates must be accomplished pianists, confident accompanying classes, rehearsals and performances, with experience as a Musical Director and singing teacher/vocal coach. Strong knowledge of Musical Theatre repertoire, vocal technique and performance practice is essential, alongside excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. Candidates should have experience working with young performers and the ability to inspire students from beginner to pre-professional level. Previous departmental leadership, vocational Musical Theatre training, professional industry experience and BTEC Level 3 teaching are desirable. A relevant degree or professional qualification is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Musical Theatre department, maintaining high standards of teaching, training and performance. Teach Musical Theatre and singing across a range of ages and abilities and contribute to our BTEC International Level 3 Performing Arts programme. Musically direct productions, showcases and performance projects, including accompanying rehearsals and auditions on piano. Develop curriculum, repertoire and performance opportunities that support student progression. Lead, mentor and support Musical Theatre teaching staff, overseeing departmental standards and development. Manage auditions and rehearsals and collaborate closely with Drama, Dance and Singing faculty, production teams and external creatives. Support students preparing for examinations, auditions and further vocational training.
