Job Summary
Job Description
The production will rehearse in Sheffield before opening at the Sheffield Crucible, where it will run from 26 November 2026 to 16 January 2027.
The production will then tour to 21 venues across the UK and Ireland from January to September 2027 and will be managed by Jonathan Church Theatre Productions.

This is a remount of the production which previously played in the West End and has subsequently toured internationally, including seasons in Canada, Dubai and China.
The Sheffield season will be a collaboration between the in-house stage management team and those who will continue onto the tour. The Technical Assistant Stage Manager will required to sign two contracts, one from Sheffield Theatres and one from Jonathan Church Theatre Productions.
The touring company will consist of a Company Manager, Deputy Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager (Water) and this role. The touring company will also consist of full cast and musicians, technical and production team across all departments.
Job Requirements
- Experience of working on a large-scale commercial touring production.
- Clear, confident communication with the Stage Management team, technical departments, and performers.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, along with strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, live production environment.
- Familiarity with and adherence to current Health & Safety guidelines relevant to the production is essential, which may include working at height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending training as deemed necessary.
