Job Summary
Job Description
MRMW and Worcester City Council (WCC) have been awarded Delivery Phase funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for our project, The Worcestershire Soldier at the Commandery working in partnership with the Worcestershire Yeomanry Museum (WYM). MRMW will lead the project. The project will create new galleries telling the story of The Worcestershire Soldier at The Commandery in Worcester's Heritage Quarter and make a step change in audience engagement with the county's regimental collections through an exciting Activity Plan.
In the project's Development Phase, Spencer & Fry undertook condition assessments of both MRMW and WYM collections to identify conservation needs. An experienced Conservation Consultant is now required to provide specialist advice during the gallery design process and oversee remedial conservation of objects identified for display, ensuring museum standards in collection care and long-term sustainability.
Delivery Timescale: November 2026 - April 2028 (18 months)
Expected Working hours: 120hrs
