Job Summary

The RBO is looking to recruit an experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead CRM activity, delivering targeted, data-led campaigns that enhance customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

Job Description

The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.

The Royal Opera House describes the place we work, not who we are. The whole is always more than the sum of its parts - we may be a House, but three quarters of our audiences experience what we do outside this building. While our Covent Garden theatre is the nerve centre, the impact and influence of the organisation can be felt in every corner of the country, and around the world.

The role:

The Audiences and Commercial department drives income, grows and diversifies audiences, and promotes the Royal Ballet and Opera's work across multiple platforms, including live performances, digital content, cinema, and touring. The Marketing team plays a key role in delivering campaigns that build brand engagement and maximise revenue.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead CRM activity, delivering targeted, data-led campaigns that enhance customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

Job Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be a strategic and data-driven marketing professional with strong CRM expertise, capable of managing complex campaigns, leading automation initiatives, and collaborating effectively across teams to deliver impactful customer journeys.

Can you demonstrate any of the following:

-Proven experience in CRM, email marketing, or customer marketing roles, ideally (but not essential) from within the Arts & Entertainment sector
-Strong understanding of customer data, segmentation, and lifecycle management
-Experience delivering automated and personalised email campaigns
-Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into action
-Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
-Strong organisational and project management capability
-Knowledge of data protection and GDPR requirements
-Experience working with CRM and Customer Data platforms (Prospect2 and Tessitura Segmentation Sets and List Manager highly desirable)
