Job Summary
Job Description
We are looking for hosts and facilitators. This would suit someone with a performance background and that enjoys working with children.
HOST
The Host is one of the key faces of Mini Genius Lab and is responsible for leading the workshop and delivering the scripted elements of the experience.
You'll learn the approximately 1-hour script, alongside the experiments and activities that make up the experience.
The role will be shared with another colleague, meaning that across a full day you may spend part of the day performing the Host role and part of the day working as a Facilitator.
We're looking for confident, engaging performers, presenters and facilitators who can command a room while remaining warm, playful and brilliant with children and their grown-ups.
FACILITATOR
Facilitators are at the heart of the practical and guest-facing delivery of Mini Genius Lab, helping children and their grown-ups get involved with the experiments, activities and challenges throughout the experience.
This role does not require a professional acting background. We're particularly interested in energetic, practical people with strong events, facilitation, education or child-facing experience.
Depending on the day, duties may include:
Facilitating experiments and activities
Interacting with children and their grown-ups
Helping with resets between sessions
Washing and preparing equipment
Ticket scanning
Merch sales
Supporting the Host and Show Captain
General practical support to keep the experience running smoothly
Dates: 16th October 2026 - 3rd January 2027.
Performances usually run Thursday-Sunday, with additional dates during school holidays.
