We're looking for community music groups, brass bands, samba bands, steel pan groups, drumming groups and street bands to join Dumfries & Galloway Carnival on Saturday 30 January 2027.

Groups should be confident performing outdoors and engaging with audiences in a busy town-centre environment. Performances should be lively, accessible and suitable for a family audience.

This year's Carnival theme is LEGENDS. Groups are encouraged to interpret the theme through music, costume or performance, although you do not need to create entirely new material.

Groups can choose a Town Centre performance slot and can also take part in the Carnival Parade. An additional paid workshop opportunity is available for groups interested in working with participants.

Fee: £350 per performing group, plus £150 for delivering a workshop.

Slots are limited and allocated on a first-come basis.
