Job Summary
Job Description
As a trustee, you hold legal responsibility for the company's compliance with financial and legal matters, making sure that it is run responsibly, in line with its goals and objectives, and generally working to secure the company's best interests. Our board also heads up the fundraising to make sure that we can continue to produce interesting drama.
This requires attendance at board meetings, which take place a couple of times a year, and at our annual general meeting. These frequently take place online rather than in person, usually for 1-2 hours.
Trustees may choose to be involved in HIDden in other capacities as well, but this is not a mandatory requirement for the role.
Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate:
* is passionate about theatre and our mission in general
* has experience in governance and/or financial management
* has familiarity with fundraising
* enjoys working collaboratively with others
* is interested in helping a small company grow and thrive
Job Responsibilities
The board of trustees oversees the company in terms of legal and financial responsibility. We are particularly seeking someone who is comfortable managing finances, as the person who has been filling this role is looking to move on to other things. Fundraising is something we all pitch in to work on, so it is not this role's specific responsibility, but experience with it would be extremely helpful.
